Famous landscape artists from every century and around the world have enjoyed every second of capturing a sight that they could not let go from their minds eye. Some very famous artist painted and repainted the same view at different times. Playing and experimenting with colour (yes and technique). From personal experience I know the moment any artist start with a landscape, no matter what style or technique, they get lost in the colour.
